Need

We’ve been a partner to Ohana since their founding in 2020. As a start-up, they needed to solidify their identity from the day one — so Morel was the perfect option to meet all of their print, promotional, and production needs under one roof.

They’ve helped us with everything: branding, uniforms, swag, printed pieces, marketing materials… whether it’s an everyday item or a special occasion, they hear what we need and can get it produced quickly.

Solution

With over a dozen (and counting!) different locations spread across the Pacific Northwest, Ohana needed a partner who could ensure brand consistency and control while simplifying logistics. Fortunately, Morel’s online ordering portal was up to the task. Because the tool is highly configurable, we were able to set up custom permissions and workflows to support property-level autonomy.

I was surprised at how easy it was to build an online storefront for our multiple facilities. We can make bulk purchases and allocate them to different locations, all with a billing procedure that works well for us. It decentralizes ordering, letting each facility make its own decisions. This saves us time by not having to act as gatekeeper, while still giving us control.”

While the portal is perfect for frequent and repeatable orders, we also act as a creative partner to Ohana on new initiatives to engage their residents, team, and communities — bringing ideas, solving problems, and offering perspective on what’s possible.

It’s very consultative. They ask a lot of questions — really trying to understand our objectives rather than just pushing something out there. Then they’re quick about giving multiple options, and we’ll go back and forth with good ideas. We do a booth at an Alzheimer’s walk called Memories in the Making, and Morel helped us come up with fun things to give away.”

Results

We’re honored to have been a part of the Ohana success story from the outset, watching the business grow to be what it is today. Most of all, we’re proud to continue to contribute to their mission and the happiness of residents and staff alike.

It’s been great to have consistent, professional branding across all of our different facilities. Not everyone understands the value of that consistency, or might be afraid to use one service that does everything. They don’t realize the difference in working with a company who can do it the right way. But if they get the opportunity to work with Morel, I think they’d be won over really quickly.
